Battlestar Galactica
Wow, Time magazine picked Battlestar Galactica as the number 1 TV show of 2005. I agree with them on that, although I don't think it's *that* close a parallel to terrorism.

IP and Online Sales
Scott Adams has something interesting to say about IP, online sales, and marketing.
Toys of Peace
This is an interesting little story. I have to say, if this is realistic, early 20th Century British kids were pretty well read.

Free Trade
Interesting results came out of Hong Kong. But I'm *very* skeptical that the west can keep its word about eliminating agricultural subsidies. The results of actually following through that policy would be interesting, but I suspect this agreement will show as much actual result as Kyoto, i.e. not much.

Old Colour Photographs
The American Library of Congress has a large collection of photos online, including a number of color photos from the Depression era to WWII. The good ones look really impressive!
For example, this one.

Nostalgia
With programs like Legacy you can play Doom on Windows XP! Legacy actually improves on Doom while still providing the old game experience - there's new features like mouse look. :) Even better, you can play online by setting up a server and everything. You need the original Doom or Doom 2 though, because the graphics and such are still copyright protected.

Koren sci-fi movie
This looks like an interesting film. I'll have to see if I can get a hold of a copy.

Austrian Town
Just ran across this. Interesting name - I'm not sure I believe the bit about the most stolen road sign in the world though.
Cluedo Crusade
Wow... I don't know what to make of this.
Basically it's a combination of Clue (called Cluedo in the UK) and Space Crusade, a boardgame relative of Space Hulk. As a normal game of Clue goes on, Space Marines show up, with each of the characters (Mrs. White, Col. Mustard, etc.) commanding a faction. The Space Marines shoot each other while the Clue game continues. Brain eating is also involved...

Bruce Campbell
Interesting news from Bruce Campbell's homepage: apparently he's making a movie about... himself. It's a "Galaxy Quest" type thing.

Mini Space Hulk
Now this is so cute... :)
He's using Games Workshop's Epic scale Space Marine and Genestealer miniatures. Epic scale is around 6 mm scale. The miniatures used in normal Space Hulk is 28 mm scale.
